We staying in Alumbung in january,is nice place beautiful
garden,cute native house.and i miss the native swing and
the dog chico.The owner have good service and helpful.

We stayed 17 days at Alumbung in the 2 villas. It is clean and charming houses and lovely with aircon in the bedroom on the 1 floor.
The villas are located in a magnificent tropical garden full of flowers, bananas and palms.
Here you can enjoy life in private surroundings.
We went to Panglao town where there are market and bought fish, prawns, rice, vegetables and lots of mangoes and cooked it myself in our kitchen.
The owner of Alumbung are sweet and nice and very helpful,as the staff. If in lokking for a nice place in local environments,we really recommend this lovely place

The owner is very kind and the villa is nice.
Hope we will come again.

We've been at Alumbung for 4 days. The resort is very beautiful, has a nice surrounding and is very friendly. It is a bit off the beaten path but the beach is close and it's perfect for relaxing.

We can recommend it to backpackers as well as families or bigger groups

My friends and I visited Panglao for 2 days. It's the best choice to live in Alumbung. The room is clear, and I like the hammock in front of each room. It's so comfortable when breezing.
Sylvie and Roberto are so nice. They gave us good advice and help us call the van. It's a place full of passion, happiness and relaxation.

We still miss Panglao. You couple and three dogs.

Hey there Syd and Bob and Anne-marie, thank you for a really wonderful stay - our 2nd in 2 years. Once again the villa was a home from home and a great toe hold in the Philippines for us.
Neil is already planning our return....

I stayed for 3 weeks. We shopped in the local markets and cooked our own food. We did all the tours and had a great time. Great friendly hosts. A short walk or motor bike ride to the white sandy beaches. Quite, relaxed, great. My only problem - the Internet connection was slow and unreliable.

sorry for the late feedback of our stay in Alumbung in july.
Being back in Oslo, our lives have been a bit "crazy" since the summer.
We just wanted to thank you for the lovely stay we had. We really wanted to stay at a place with an authentic feel to it and Alumbung really gave us that!
The beautiful garden and the charming alumbungs really answered to our expectations! We also liked the location even though it wasn't on the seaside. We loved the glimpse of a real Philippine lifestyle this gave us!
Also thank you for the lovely food you served us!

We spent a very nice time in Alumbung in April, Bob and Sylvie are very kind, always helping you to spend nice holidays. Cottages are very comfortable and quiet, it's very near of beaches, 2 minutes from Alona. It's very safe with children, and we warmly recommend this place if you want to spend some time in a quiet place around Bohol

I looked at a lot of resort pages in the area around tagbilaran until my friend anne discovered alumbung. we thought it would be a good idea to go for something off the beaten track.

I´ve been to a lot of nice hotels and resorts but when i got into our alumbung i had the feeling that this was exactly what i had always wanted... a really different place with lots of charming details, lovely taken care of. it really made us feel at home.

At the Alumbung, we’ve got an A++... in service, accommodation, location & everything. We loved the place a lot especially the Lumbung cottage where we stayed. Everything is well-organized like a 5-star hotel but in a very low price. Thanks to Sid and Bob for their hospitality. They made it sure that their guests are VIPs and have nothing to worry about. We had a short vacation that’s why we could only stay there for 3days but the experience is truly amazing and would be our best and memorable date together. Wish we could have stayed there longer. See you there!

We certainly enjoyed our stay at Alumbung.. the villas are fantastic, and Bob and Sid were always there to give advice or assistance when needed! Price was great, especially in comparison to some places at nearby Alona Beach. It is only a 2 minute ride to Alona Beach anyway so it is nice to be away from that busier part of the island.

We recommend Alumbung to anyone, especially to couples!
Hope to go back to Alumbung sometime in the future without a doubt!
