my family and i had a great time in alumbung.. bob is very friendly and accommodating... the atmosphere is very relaxed and peaceful... my daughter enjoyed her stay at alumbung to the extend she only wants to play at the tiled floor and not eat.

The place is very private with great ambiance, Bob and Sid are very accomodating, they address all our needs. Perfect and practical place to stay with, for it is utilized with complete kitchen facility. Clean, cool and relaxing place perfect for vacation.

Fantastic place, great ambiance, away from the hustle and bustle of Alona Beach, but still conveniently near.

The house is quaint, very clean, very Filipino... I love that there is a good functional kitchen complete with a ref and a stove.

Bob and Sid were able to address all our needs. I would recommend Alumbung to anyone wanting a stress-free vacation.

We really love the place, especially my daughter Gabby. We went to Bohol with my friends and she's asking if we can return there next year with the entire family (her dad and her brother and sister). She loves the idea of "kulambo" (mosquito net) thinking she is a princess sleeping with that thing he he he. I've sent our pictures to my friends in London and they want to go and see the Beautiful Bohol this summer and they are asking where to stay. I'm 100% sure that they will love the place, ambience and everything of Alumbung.;-)

How I found Alumbung is a great story on its own merits but I wont get into that.To be around the company of Alumbung's gracious and accomodating hosts was a bonus of all bonuses. Alumbung is a neat place to stay and have enjoyed the iced coffees and cocktails that we have shared with the hosts. We will definitely go back there and say G'day in the future. Thanks.8-0

We definitely made the right choice in choosing Alumbung as our home during our stay in Bohol, the place is so quite and private. Sid and Bob were very hospitable and accomodating, they see to it that there guest live comfortably. They give us ideas about the best places in Panglao Island. We surely had wonderful time in Bohol and in our stay @ Alumbung. A must see place for people who search for solemnity and be with nature. What we enjoyed the most was renting there bicycles, we were able to see different beaches and made our vacation worth it. Thanks to Bob, Sid and Ann Marie, you guys are the best people weve met in Bohol. Hoping to visit you again.

my husband and i really had a great time at alumbung. a one of a kind find, a quiet haven, somewhat a hideaway for folks who seek privacy, peace and tranquility.

service wise, it was really well thought of. you don't get to experience such treats in resorts other than hotels or high class facilities. the extra service lessen's a vacationista's worries, makes you feel special as they exceed your expectations.

although our stay was short, we enjoyed every moment of our stay there. we will return and lengthen our stay there so we can get acquainted a bit more with our great hosts and enjoy the island life.

We stayed at Alumbung in early November. The three nights there were not enough and I will be back to enjoy Sid and Bob's hospitality. It was especially nice that Sid's mom was there and took us all over Panglao and we were able to see lots of territory. Sid and Bob are great chefs and made us local specialties that were not on the "list". I would highly recommend staying at Alumbung if you want a personal experience and glimpse into the real Panglao.

Alumbung is not a common place. It is an accommodation that combines originality, with contact with mother nature, spartan tradition with comfort, all at the best quality-price combination You can find in the Philippines.
Sid and Bob were always available for our queries and requests, they made our staying very enjoyable despite an uncommon bad weather for Xmas holidays.
I have very fond memories of them, the place and that jewel that is Panglao; we'll definetly be back.

Our stay at the alumbungs was great and enjoyed the house very much. Will definetely come back during my next stay in Bohol.
